Lister Home is a 58 bed Rest home Hospital located in Waimate which contains 38 Rest home, 18 hospital and 2 palliative care beds. There are 70 staff with around 46 FTE which includes an office administrator. 

This is a broad based role reporting to the board with responsibility for the overall management and effective operation of the home. This includes activity in a diverse range of areas ranging from quality assurance to marketing and budgeting.  

Key attributes sought in the appointee include:

• Prior experience working with the care of the elderly in a managerial capacity
• Well developed management and leadership skill
• Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to implement and maintain a QA programme
• A positive, respectful and empathetic approach.
